We can’t keep Cookie Confidential a secret any longer! This Philadephia bakery owned and operated by Melissa Torre features her own signature artisanal line of vegan and non-vegan cookies, cupcakes, brownies and other locally sourced treats. And of course, hand-crafted Boylan sodas to wash all it all down! We suggest pairing a Ginger Ale with “The Columbo” (a raspberry balsamic cookie), a Creme soda with the Snickerdoodle, and what else but a Birch Beer with their Cheese Steak cookie. Yep, you heard right! And if cookies aren’t your thing, try their Undercover Cupcakes…same flavors, different medium. Their regular size cupcakes come either with a single or double cake in reusable mason jars (return your empty to the shop for a free cookie!), and their mini comes in a push-pop…great for the kids, parties, or just to celebrate the kid in all of us!

It would be a sin NOT to indulge in an ice cream float at Sinful Sweets in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. All of their floats are made with Boylan handcrafted sodas…so order up a Boylan Black Cherry float (ask them to make it with black cherry ice cream for an extra big sin!) and ask for forgiveness later. If this alone didn”t make us love Sinful Sweets, how could we not adore an ice cream shoppe that makes Bacon Milkshakes? And not just one variety either — numerous options, such as the Maple Bacon Shake, and the Peanut Butter Bacon Shake! Mind you, this is not just an ice cream shoppe, but a first-class candy shop where proprietor Christopher George is bringing his passion for chocolate and his imagination to life, using only the finest ingredients available. In fact, it”s pretty much chocolate heaven, which makes their name even more ironic in our opinion. Either way, when we die, this is where we want to go — no matter what its name is!
